What is the Competition Authority Share?
Pursuant to Article 39/1(c) of the Law No. 4054 on the Protection of Competition, all newly incorporated joint stock and limited liability companies are required to make a payment to the Competition Authority in proportion to four per ten thousand of their capital and, in the event of a capital increase, of the increased portion.
In practice, this payment is referred to as the Competition Authority Share.
Where to pay the Competition Authority Share?
Pursuant to the “Communiqué on Payments to be made by Joint Stock and Limited Liability Companies Pursuant to Law No. 4054 (Communiqué No: 2017/4)” published in the Official Gazette dated 31.03.2017 and numbered 30024, the Competition Authority Fee shall be collected by the units authorized to collect trade registry fees on behalf of the Competition Authority.
With the “Communiqué No: 2024/2 Amending the Communiqué No: 2017/4 on the Payments to be made by Joint Stock and Limited Liability Companies Pursuant to Law No: 4054” published in the Official Gazette dated 01.10.2024 and numbered 32679, the Competition Authority Fee can now be paid through the HTS (Fee Tracking System) by using the MERSIS interface.
